What are they for?

In a bigger church it can be more difficult to enjoy meaningful friendships and fellowship with everyone. Home fellowship groups provide an opportunity to feel part of a group of modest size, yet representing church folks of different ages and situations in life. Newcomers to church quickly feel they "belong" in a home group.

We enjoy FELLOWSHIP as we: hfg2

  • Study God's word together. It is easier to talk openly in a small group about our own reflections, and how God's word relates to our personal situation.
  • Support one another in prayer, and spur on in godly living and good works. We will also want to give practical help to those who have specific needs (whether or not they are able to make it to the meetings).

hfg_missionWe also join together in MISSION

Home groups, like church, are not just for our benefit, but also to serve the wider community. So together we:

  • Share the gospel. We want to encourage one another to witness to family, friends, neighbours & colleagues.
  • Society. Our prayers will be for God's kingdom nationally and internationally, but we have a particular concern for our local community, to share the love of Christ with those in our own area where the home fellowship group is based. We take a natural interest in what's going on locally, and how we can be involved.

Home groups meet on Wednesdays at 8.00pm. If you would like to join one, or find out more, contact the church office.
